Technology in Ministry

posted May 23, 2012, 7:13 AM by Tim Isbell   [ updated May 23, 2012, 10:28 PM ]
Today pastors and Christian leaders use a wide array of software technology for ministry in churches and non-profits.  Last week I led a breakout session on ministry technologies at the Northern California Nazarene District Assembly.  The top-level themes:
  1. Advantages of an integrated framework over a collection of hot tools.
  2. Value of building-out your ministry's “domain.”
  3. Taking advantage of cloud computing - for more than just storage.
The session also addressed a very wide range of software applications common around ministries, including personal computing applications pastors use everyday, communication and marketing tools, church management tools, and a little on worship technology.  For the session participants I provided a pretty extensive set of notes in a Google Doc.  I am continuing to update this with new information as I discover it.  To access this document just click on  Technology in Ministry.
