Tablets for Speaking Notes

posted Jan 25, 2013, 11:26 AM by Tim Isbell   [ updated Jan 25, 2013, 1:29 PM ]

Speakers are beginning to move away from the distraction of shuffling paper notes while in front of an audience. Instead they are using tablet-based speaking notes. In addition to less distraction, another benefit is the ease of last-minute editing.

If your content is stored in the cloud, a consideration is having reliable wifi availability. Another consideration is on how large a screen you need to facilitate the font size and amount of content you want to see at any one time.

Proclaim is one software product you can download onto a tablet (Droid or Apple). It includes the capacity to display the Presentation Slides alongside speaking/preaching notes.

If any of you have already moved your notes to a tablet, please let us know how it's working out for you, what hardware/software you use, and what advice you have for the rest of us. If you add your comments to the Feedback on Technology in Ministry form we can all learn from you.

Hope to hear from you!
