Epiphany Sermons

posted Dec 30, 2011, 7:49 PM by Tim Isbell   [ updated Dec 30, 2011, 7:49 PM ]

It's time to put together sermons for the next season on the Christian calendar.  The first Sunday of Epiphany is January 8 and the season extends through February 19.  I've gathered 8 sermons give you some fresh ideas for the weeks of Epiphany.  You are welcome to skim them for ideas, or download them to your computer and edit them until they are your own.  This set includes 5 stand-alone sermons plus a 3 sermon series.

During the years I was developing a fresh sermon every week I kept them in pretty good order, always wondering if I'd every find a way to revisit them and make them available to others.  Perhaps you are doing the same thing right now.  If so, I can assure you that revisiting old sermons and polishing them up for others to use is a rewarding process all by itself.  The 2-3 fresh hours that I put into polishing each sermon requires that I get my mind and heart back into each one.  The Lord who spoke these into existence in past years faithfully revisits my polishing process, providing spiritual richness every time.  Preparing these 8 sermons was especially rich.  I am praying that the Lord will speak to you through them.

Here's the sermon title list for this Epiphany posting.  Follow the B Epiphany link to a more comprehensive synopsis of each sermon, and links to the downloadable sermon notes and PowerPoint files.
