2nd Post on Personal Finance

Hi everybody,

This second Personal Finance post announces 3 new webpages:

  • Tracking Your Finances is the first installment of how to keep track of all the numbers.
  • Resources/Links is now pretty robust with respect to the Investments part of Personal Finance.
  • Glossary is a new addition to the framework.

I expected this second post to cover Asset Allocation. But as I work on that one I realized that I needed to lay some groundwork first. So... please have a look through these new pages and stay tuned. I expect to have the Asset Allocation page out by late this week.

By the way, my mom phoned 2 days ago from Ohio and the first thing she said when I picked up the phone was, "Hello, this is your mom. Have you heard the news?" I had no idea what she had in mind so I responded, "No, what's up?" Her response was, "Didn't you hear that the Dow is back to the 2007 peak!?"

Well, I knew the markets were getting close, I'm not into market timing so I didn't really watch it all that closely. I started to describe the difference between my strategic approach and market timing, but I realized it was better just to rejoice in her news. It was sure a delight to hear from mom about such a subject.

All the best,
