Faithful Science Seminar

Authored by Tim Isbell, August 2013

In today's context there are some Christian world-views that expect people to "check their science at the door." There are also some secular world-views that expect people to "check their religious faith at the door."

Fortunately, there is also a world-view where people live in a different reality: that good science and true religion are partners, not enemies.

New Life Nazarene Church in Cupertino, Ca is hosting a seminar on September 7-8 (Saturday - Sunday) designed for people looking for that place to stand at the intersection of science and Christian faith. It's called the "Faithful Science Seminar."

The seminar is led by academics with both strong science backgrounds and sincere Christian faith:

  • Dr. Kerry Fulcher, Provost, Professor of Biology, Point Loma Nazarene University
  • Dr. Darrel Falk, Professor of Biology, Point Loma Nazarene University
  • Dr. Steve Rodeheaver, Adjunct Professor of Theology and Christians Ministries, Point Loma Nazarene University
  • Dr. April Maskiewicz, Professor of Biology, Point Loma Nazarene University
  • Dr. Aron Wall, PhD in Physics, post-doc at the UC Santa Barbara
  • Dr. Michael Lodahl, Professor of Theology, Point Loma Nazarene University
